Congratulations to Professor Topun Austin

Our Patron, Professor Topun Austin, Consultant Neonatologist at the Rosie Hospital, Cambridge, gave his Inaugural Lecture for an Honorary Professorship in the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering at University College London.

Dr. Joanna Hawthorne and Dr. Betty Hutchon from the Brazelton Centre UK attended his lecture: "Shining light on the Newborn Brain", where Professor Austin outlined the many studies on newborn brain injury and development that he is involved with at the Evelyn Perinatal Imaging Centre at the Rosie Hospital.

In the BRIGHT project, based in Cambridge and in The Gambia, the NBAS is one of the measures used on 2 week old newborns.

Many congratulations to Professor Austin from all at the Brazelton Centre UK!

We look forward to hearing your talk at our conference in September!
